Plot

While the engines are setting up for the Fall Festival, Thomas is feeling down about the end of summer and the changing weather.

  • Going by production order, this is the forty-second episode of the first series.
  • According to descriptions for this episode, Vicarstown was originally intended to appear, but was replaced by Suddery for unknown reasons.
  • This is the first episode where Wendy Patterson voices Annie and Clarabel and Tom Dussek voices Sir Topham Hatt in the UK dub.
  • This is the only episode in the first series to be written by Ghia Godfree.

Goofs

  • Annie and Clarabel consistently swap places throughout the first minute and a half of the episode.
  • Clarabel has Annie's ornate pattern, and is also missing her freckles in one scene.
  • When Thomas, Percy and Kana arrive at Knapford, Annie's face is missing.
  • In one scene in a top view, the grey on Gordon's footplate is missing.
  • In a scene where Diesel says the Fall festival is saved, Gordon's tender is missing.
  • Annie and Clarabel's voices are swapped when the hay rides begin.
  • On the RTÉ Player, the episode image was of the episode Gordon Gets the Giggles, and the '2521a' was beside the episode title.
