Allicia[]
Allicia is the pet mouse of Tidmouth Sheds. When Allicia Botti came to Island of Sodor, Thomas was chosen to take her with Annie and Clarabel. While being cleaned, a strange squeak came from the coaches. It kept up as Thomas went to Brendam and when he arrived, it was found that a small mouse had found its way into Clarabel's compartment. Because Thomas did not feel important anymore, Percy took over. The mouse was given a mouse hole in Tidmouth Sheds and later named Allicia by Thomas. It is unknown whether or not Allicia stayed through the renovation of Tidmouth Sheds in Calling All Engines! and whether or not she remains there.

The Mole Family[]
The Mole Family are a set of moles who burrowed dozens of holes around the pitch at Dryaw FC. Buster the Steamroller was brought in to flatten the mole hills around the football field. The moles watched him from side lines and even commented on how well Buster did his job.

The Family of Seals[]
When Emily was placed on the Black Loch run, she encounters a family of seals by the lake after mistaking them for the Black Loch monster.

Rats[]
Rats are large rodents. Some are mostly seen around Sodor.
Biography[]
When Percy first discovers the Vicarstown Dieselworks, a rat was seen crawling across the sign canopy.
After Percy lost a train of trucks in Ulfstead Mine, he tried to go in to find them, but he gets scared by a rat scampering across the track in front of him.
When Duck arrives at Dexter's Yard while searching for some coaches, a rat was seen scampering around the yard.

Mr. and Mrs. Squirrel[]
Mr. and Mrs. Squirrel are two lively squirrels who live in the Whistling Woods. Percy once scared them away, but later made friends with them.
Other squirrels have also been seen in the wild in a few other episodes, including at Bluff's Cove and Marthwaite Woods.

Crabs[]
Crabs are crustaceans mostly seen on quaysides around Sodor.
Biography[]
After Kevin fell into the sea and lifted out by Cranky, a crab, that came out of the water, pinched Kevin's nose. Other crabs are seen scuttling around the Fishing Village and Brendam Docks.

The Whale[]
The Whale was beached at Bluffs Cove. When Toad noticed it, he tried to tell Oliver about it, but Oliver did not take him seriously. Oliver eventually believed Toad when he spotted the whale on the beach and the Sodor Search and Rescue Centre were informed about the situation. Butch tried to tow it back into the water, but the tide was too far out; if Butch attempted to pull the whale all the way to the water, it would have died. The whale was then covered up to prevent it from being hurt by the hot sun, while Belle and Flynn sprayed it with water. Toad then thought of the idea to take the whale to Brendam Docks on a flatbed. Cranky lifted it into the water and the whale was able to go out to sea again.

During Thomas' big world journey, he encounters a herd of springboks in Africa.

Tigers[]
During one of Thomas' visits in India, some tourists came to see the Indian Tigers in their safaris. However, two tiger hunters planned to capture them, but were thwarted by Thomas, Rajiv and Shankar and arrested by the Indian Police. Later on, Shankar saw one of the tigers in the jungle on his way home.
During one of Thomas' visits in China, Yong Bao tells him the story of how he became the pride of China.
Yong Bao was stuck working in the yards, while the mean engines got to go out and pull coaches. He was always teased by the other engines who would come to the yard. One day, Yong Bao spots a tiger, but the tiger is frightened away by the mean engines' whistles. Yong Bao looks for the tiger, but he can't find him anywhere. Many months pass until Yong Bao finally decides to venture out of the yard and into the mountains. Up in the mountains, he spots the same tiger. And then, he follows him down the mountains, where he sees one of the mean engines about to fall off the mountain. Yong Bao races to the rescue and pulls everyone to safety. For his bravery, he is repainted red and green with a tiger on his tender.

During his visit in Kenya, Thomas encounters some rhinos in a field while taking passengers.

Hedgehogs[]
Hedgehogs are mostly seen in fields on Sodor.
Biography[]
One night in the shed, Skarloey gets scared by a noise coming from inside the shed. The next morning, Skarloey's crew and the police solved the mystery; the noise was from a family of hedgehogs making a nest in the shed.

The Lion[]

The Lion resides at the Wildlife Park on Sodor. He once caused a panic when he escaped from the park. He was found standing on the railway line by Percy. Luckily the Wildlife Park's manager and two gamekeepers were on Percy's train on their way to notify the chief of police about the lion's escape. The lion was then shot with a tranquilliser gun, put into the guard's van and taken back to the park.
The Animal Park may have had more than 1 lion as seen in some books and other magazine stories.

The Killer Whale[]

The Killer Whale was once washed ashore on a beach at Duck's Branch Line. Duck was the first to spot the endangered whale and his driver phoned the R.S.P.C.A at the next station. There was no shortage of volunteers to help save the whale including a train-load of footballers and a bus-load of strong farmers. Harold even helped to film the rescue for television. When the R.S.P.C.A. arrived, all the volunteers assisted in getting the whale back into the sea with the help of a special stretcher. The whale was soon swimming away, healthy and happy.

Hoppy is a kangaroo that resides at the Wildlife Park. He once escaped and Edward's driver aided in its recapture.

Cleo[]

Cleo is an elderly female cheetah that resides at the Wildlife Park. She is somewhat timid because, as the ranger says, she is more scared of the engines than the engines are of her.

The Hippo[]
The Hippo belongs to the Sodor Animal Park. It once escaped and was later recaptured by James with help from Harvey.
Animal Park may have had more than 1 hippo in some books and magazine stories. Also there were some in the wild in some Youtube World Tour videos.

Scamp[]

Scamp is a friendly and rather mischievous red squirrel that was brought to Sodor from the Mainland for the children's zoo. When he first arrived on the island, he was frightened by a loud noise and ran off. He then went on to cause trouble all over the island. He stole workmen's pies, the peanuts from Gordon's buffet car and Lady Hatt's seed cake. The Fat Controller then found the pesky squirrel asleep inside Annie.

The Tiger Cub[]

The Tiger Cub escaped from the Wildlife Park one evening. Harold and Thomas went looking for it. The first sighting of it came from a policeman at the Vicarage Orchard. When Harold went to investigate, the tiger had long-gone, but some paw prints showed that he had been inside Trevor's shed. Then, Harold's pilot received word that the tiger cub had been found at a scrapyard in Cronk. It turned out that the tiger cub had climbed inside a workman's car. Thomas took the car, with the cub inside, on his truck back to the Wildlife Park where it was safely lured into a basket.

James' Mouse[]

A mouse was found inside a carriage of the express train by a female passenger. James was taking the express that day as Gordon was at the works. James' guard set to work trying to catch the troublesome mouse and even with the help of some other staff members, he was unable to catch the little creature. Eventually, a piece of cheese was used as bait and the mouse was caught. The express was delayed due to the fiasco, much to Bertie's delight after James had rudely remarked about a cat delaying Bertie the previous day. It is unknown what became of the mouse after being caught, but was likely released back into the wild.

The Whale[]

The Whale was mistaken for the "Sea Monster of Sodor". But when it was washed up on the beach, Thomas could see that it was a whale. The alarm was raised and Harold and the workmen were working fast to try and lever the whale into the water. They succeed and Thomas is given a day off as a reward for raising the alarm

The Squirrel[]

The Squirrel hid in one of Duck's trucks and rode to the Docks. Once there, he mistook Cranky for a tree and climbed him. He perched on the crane's arm and it can be assumed he was coaxed down with nuts and returned to his home.

The Badgers[]

The Badgers reside in Henry's Forest where they have dug tunnels into the embankment of a rarely-used railway siding. So that they can live in peace, the Fat Controller closes the siding.

Nosey[]

Nosey is a mouse belonging to Harry, the son of the man who runs the lost property office at the Main Station. He once escaped his cage and hid under the lost property man's hat.

A Tiger and her two cubs appeared in Thomas and the Tiger. When the tigers escaped from the wildlife park, Thomas rescued them and returned them to the park. The wildlife keeper named one of the cubs Thomas, in honour of the tank engine.
