Annie and Clarabel are a pair of orange-brown coaches who live on the Island of Sodor.
Personalities[]
Annie and Clarabel are very motherly and respectful towards the young engines, especially Thomas, however, they are rather prone to complaining.
Technical Details[]
Basis[]
Annie and Clarabel are based on LBSC Stroudley Coaches built between the early 1870s and late 1880s. Several coaches of this type are preserved on the Bluebell Railway and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
Livery[]
Both Annie and Clarabel are painted orange with grey roofs and wheels.

Trivia[]
- Previously in the Thomas & Friends franchise, Annie and Clarabel were almost always pulled by Thomas. He still pulls them in All Engines Go, but it has become common for other engines to pull them too. Despite Annie and Clarabel gaining this wider usage, the Meet the Engines book still lists them as Thomas' coaches.
- Unlike the original series, Annie and Clarabel have separate voice actors in the US dub instead of a shared one, more similar to the Japanese dub of the original series.
- Annie and Clarabel are currently the only female characters created by Wilbert Awdry to appear in All Engines Go.
- Prior to Wendy Patterson's casting in the second season, Catherine Disher and Linda Kash gave Annie and Clarabel British accents (though Clarabel's is more obvious than Annie's). After Patterson's casting, Disher and Kash gave the characters American accents, most likely to contrast Patterson's Yorkshire accent.
