Arlesburgh West Ballast Chute is a large channel for depositing ballast from the Arlesdale Railway's hopper wagons to standard gauge wagons on the North Western Railway.
Appearances[]
Trivia[]
- The chute is based on the stone tipping chute used on the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway during the early and mid 20th century.
- Unlike the real chute, there is no tipper on the chute at Arlesburgh West; instead, stone is released via doors underneath the hopper wagons.
