Balladwail (Sudric for "The Farm on the Black Stream"[1]) is a small town on the southern coast of Sodor. A plateway utilising the force of gravity once ran from Ward Fell to here in the nineteenth century.
As seen on a Wooden Railway play table, Balladwail has a "Bait and Tackle" shop, and nowadays it runs alongside the roads and waterways.
