The Sodor Bean Company have special ventilated vans used for transporting beans.

These vans first appeared with Thomas, where he was tasked with picking up a load of beans from the farm. The train was suddenly bashed off the rails by Diesel 10 and the sacks of beans spilt. The beans later turn into a towering beanstalk with railway tracks. Thomas leaves the vans behind and decides to bravely travel up the beanstalk. The vans were later rerailed by Judy and Jerome.[1]
These vans were also found in Africa. Thomas was tasked to pull a train, which consisted of some of these vans, to Dar es Salaam Docks. Nia buffered up to the back of one of these vans and helped Thomas deliver his load.[2]

These vans are a freelance design and are modified from the Livestock Wagons with covered sides.
Livery[]
These vans are commonly painted red with the "Sodor Bean Company" logo on their front and sides and have white lettering and numbering. The lettering reads "E" and "SD" and all vans have the number "20800". Some African variants of these vans have "Dakar Railway" written on them, while others lack writing altogether.
Plain vans without writing have been seen painted red, maroon, green, brown-green and grey.
