Bertie, re-titled Bertie the Bus in 2011 is the twenty-seventh book in the My Thomas Story Library series.
Plot
Thomas meets a bus named Bertie, who claims to be faster than Thomas. To settle this they stage a race. Bertie manages to stay in front for the majority of the race, but Thomas passes him at the tunnel and barely wins. The Fat Controller then warns the pair not to race at dangerous speeds.
