Bertie to the Rescue is the fourth story in the 1992 Annual.
Bertie's engine will not start on the day of a climbing excursion. His driver tries to make him better, but it is no use. So Bertie's friend Algy has to collect the climbers instead. But halfway through their journey, Algy has to wait at a traffic light and his driver cannot restart his engine. So the climbers have to push him out of the way to avoid a traffic jam. Finally, Algy is able to continue on his way. After they arrive at their destination and the climbers have their lunch, Algy's driver tries to start him again. But this time, all hope is lost and everyone is stranded. Luckily, Bertie is called and saves the day.
