Best Friend Adventures is a UK/US/Australian digital download release containing six episodes from the first series of Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go.

It was later released theatrically in Japan under the title The Biggest Friends of All (Japanese: 映画きかんしゃトーマスぼくのたいせつなともだち) for the 80th Anniversary of The Railway Series.

Join Thomas, Percy, Nia, Kana and Diesel on their best friend adventures! From delivery disasters to races and rescues, Thomas and his engine friends work, sing and play all along the way. Each episode features a different friend and a lesson about things like telling the truth, asking for help, taking it slow, taking shortcuts and most importantly, teamwork. Fun and friendship, full steam ahead!

The Island of Sodor is full of fun events like the Festival of Light and the Bake Off. Thomas and his friends are eager to show off their skills, but they get carried away with the competition and find themselves in big trouble when the ingredients for the sweets fly off and turn into 'Eggs on Percy'! And the calliope for the beach carnival breaks down. Unless something is done, the music will not be able to reach the carnival-goers. Can Thomas and his friends use teamwork to overcome their greatest challenge? What are the six most important things Thomas discovers during his adventure? This is an unprecedented and touching story of friendship.

In Japan, these episodes were not broadcast on NHK and remained unreleased until their theatrical release.
Leo Morimoto, the first narrator of the Japanese dub of Thomas & Friends, was originally set to appear as the special guest narrator for this release, but he later dropped out for unknown reasons.
The Biggest Friends of All, the English title of the theatrical release, was originally a slogan for the Thomas brand and is used in the brand advertisements.^[1]
