Trivia

  • Some 1991 copies list the episodes' UK titles on the back cover.
  • This tape was the last of a few things:
  • On the Strand VCI Entertainment release, the first few seconds of Better Late than Never are cut.
  • Some copies of the Strand VCI Entertainment release show a "Thomas the Tank Engine Vol. 5" title card before the FBI warning.
  • On the Strand Home Video release, the yellow split transition after Diesel's Devious Deed is cut out.
  • On the Time-Life release, the "Our Story Stops Are" rectangle on the back cover is red instead of yellow.
  • This is the only American Ringo Starr tape to not feature any differences from the recordings heard on Shining Time Station, as well as one of three Starr US VHS releases not to get a DVD release, the other two being Tenders and Turntables and Other Stories and Thomas Breaks the Rules and Other Stories. This is likely because most of the episodes were on Thomas Comes to Breakfast and Other Thomas Adventures. However, all the episodes on that release were narrated by George Carlin instead of Ringo Starr.
  • It is also the only American Ringo Starr tape to originally come in a black cassette, as previous volumes came in either blue or red cassettes.

Goofs

  • The photographs are copyrighted 1985 on the back cover when they are actually from 1986.
  • The UK narration can faintly be heard in the background.
  • On the 1991 back cover, Clarabel's name is misspelt as "Claribel."
