BoCo in a Jam is a magazine story.
Plot[]
One day, due to an engine shortage, BoCo is brought into the yard to help Diesel shunt coaches. Diesel is prepared to play a trick on BoCo; Diesel tells him to move the coaches onto the line outside the engine shed while he shunts trucks.
BoCo does as he is told but soon, Henry and James return from their journeys and complain about getting blocked from entering their sheds. The Fat Controller is also very cross and reprimands BoCo, which Diesel finds very funny.
Later, Diesel is tasked with shunting a van for Edward to collect. It contains a crate that will be delivered to a village store. Diesel wants to know what the crate has inside so he bumps it to see if he can hear anything rattle inside. BoCo, knowing what is inside, decides to pay Diesel back by telling him to bump it harder. Diesel bumps the van as hard as he can, causing it to overturn and jars of jam burst all over Diesel. The Fat Controller shuts Diesel up in his shed the rest of the day while BoCo works in peace.
