The Brendam Canal is a small canal located near Brendam Docks. Cranky and Big Mickey can be seen off in the distance from the canal.
In the eighth series episode James Gets a New Coat, James was admiring his new red paintwork by looking at his reflection in the canal and later in the tenth series, Thomas tried to stop James here from pulling the Maron FC football team.

- In the seventh series, the main Brendam Docks set was redressed as the canal with Warehouse buildings around it (without Big Mickey, Cranky, etc).
- In the eighth series, Cranky and Big Mickey were for some reason seen in different positions from which it would indicate that the canal is located south of Brendam Docks which would mean the canal would be located in the ocean.
- In the tenth series, the buildings that appeared beside the rails at the canal are removed. Though it could be possible that this was located in a different part of Brendam Docks.
- In the eleventh series, the canal appears to be inland and is drained of water.
