Carly and Cranky's Big Lift Off is the sixteenth short of the Short Story Adventures series.
Plot[]
Carly and Sandy are helping Cranky load Bulstrode, but innocent discussion while at work sets the cranes in a frenzy to outlift the other one's load. It quickly escalates to the point that they load Bulstrode carelessly, much to the barge's discontent. When Sandy suggests loading a tanker, she gets caught on the end while Cranky takes it, and he gets caught up in a tug of war with Carly. They quickly free Sandy, but the falling tanker unbalances Bulstrode, forcing the cranes to perform a rescue... which ends up entangling their cables. Sandy is able to untangle the cables, but accidentally switches their hooks in the process. Unable to balance properly with Cranky's hook, Carly falls into the water and has to be craned out by Cranky, and jokingly calls it a tie afterwards.

- The plot of the short is similar to the original series episodes, New Crane on the Dock and Creaky Cranky.
Goofs[]
- Cranky is missing his nameplate on several occasions throughout the short.
- In the UK dub, some of Sandy's dialogue is out of sync with her mouth movements.
