Carnival Engines! is a magazine story.
Plot[]
THomas suddenly sees a pirate ship in the distance behind the hedge, but his driver assures that it is a model for the Carnival. Later, he tells Thomas that the carnival begins next Saturday. Trevor states that he was going to be in the carnival and later, Sir Topham Hatt informs Thomas that he was going to be featured in the carnival. On the day of the carnival, Thomas is thoroughly cleaned and decorated. And finally, Thomas stops at the station and sees a replica of himself being carried in a lorry flatbed. The children cheer at them the loudest!
