Tank engines

Tank engines are steam locomotives who carry their water in one or more on-board water tanks, instead of a more traditional tender. Thomas is best known worldwide as "Thomas the Tank Engine", but the are other tank engines on the North Western Railway, including Percy, Toby, Duck, and Oliver. Thomas & Friends includes these characters and introduces new ones, such as Arthur, Rosie, Whiff, Stanley, Charlie, Ryan and Nia. Nia also became apart of the Steam Team. Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go also includes seven tank engines; Thomas, Percy, Toby, Duck, Whiff, Nia and Ashima.
