Christopher "Chris" Renshaw is a music composer who took over as the current composer of the series following the departure of Robert and Peter Hartshorne. He began composing for the series starting with Thomas & Friends in 4-D: Bubbling Boilers. He also has composed the music for The Great Race, Journey Beyond Sodor, the twentieth series onwards. He was also the owner and founder of Taptap Sound.
Prior to becoming the composer of the series, he worked as a Recording Engineer for Tale of the Brave, The Adventure Begins, Sodor's Legend of the Lost Treasure and The Great Race.
