Colin is the fifty-eighth book in the My Thomas Story Library series.

Plot

Colin is sad that he never gets to go to Christmas parties because he is stuck in one spot. Freddie decides to have a party at the Wharf, but does not ask the Thin Controller first. This soon leads to a muddle, but in the end there is a splendid party.

Trivia

This book is based on the twelfth series episode, The Party Surprise.
In Norway, this book is remade to a New Year's Eve themed book.
In the book, Freddie meets both Rusty and Peter Sam at the same time and Thomas brings Mr. Percival back to the Wharf from Mountain Village Station.
Gordon is in the book, however he did not appear in the actual episode.
