The Consett Iron Company Ltd was an industrial business based in the Consett area of County Durham in the United Kingdom. The company owned coal mines and limestone quarries, and manufactured iron and steel.
In the Golden Books, a company tanker was seen among some trucks at Dakar Docks when Thomas arrived in Africa, and Thomas later pulled the trucks to Dar es Salaam Docks. The tanker is painted cream with red lettering.
