Trivia

  • This was the first Thomas Home media release to feature Alec Baldwin's narration.
  • This is the only US VHS and DVD to feature Class 40's nameboard sequence.
  • On the front cover, an image from Horrid Lorry is used.
  • On the back cover, an image from Thomas and the Rumours is used.
  • The Amazon release has no intermissions. Instead, a segment of the opening credits displaying the title card appears. The digital download release also has remastered colour of the episodes.

Goofs

  • Some 1999 tape labels misspell Britt Allcroft's name as "Beth Allcroft."
  • Cranky's crane arm is cut off on the front cover.
  • On the digital download release, the episodes' audio is out of sync.
  • "Lady Hatt's Birthday Party" comes before "A Better View for Gordon", so the viewers would not know about Gordon's view at Kirk Ronan.
