Cronk's Crossing is a two-level grade-separated cloverleaf interchange (formerly an at-level intersection) near Cronk. It was formerly a small level crossing where delays and long waits often occurred, until a huge construction project later changed the place.

History[]

This crossing was once the site of a four-engine pile-up involving Percy, Nia, Diesel and Kana.[1]

After a series of traffic jams delaying several deliveries, a large reconstruction project was undertaken to transform the crossing into a cloverleaf interchange. The Biggest Adventure Club, Gordon, Terence and Beresford all helped with the project under the guidance of Sir Topham Hatt.[2]

The crossing was later the host of the grand finale of the Sodor Sings Festival, with a song performed by the Biggest Adventure Club.[3]

  • In the fourth series, the layout of the intersection prior to reconstruction changed from two sets of double tracks crossing each other to three tracks crossing a single track.
