Diesel's Ditch is a wide ditch next to a curve, situated at the bottom of a hill. Mavis once warned Diesel to be careful here; however he took no notice. When winter approached, the rails became icy, and Diesel ended up going too fast, coming off the rails, and falling into the ditch. The ditch has only appeared in magazine stories.
