Diesel's Rules, also known as New Rules! in Canada, is the first short of the Short Story Adventures series.
Plot[]
As Diesel and Percy watch Kana race by, the former reveals that he is going to race her across the entire Island of Sodor, but Kana has to follow whatever rules he makes in the race. Kana then confirms this, and after Diesel sets off, she reveals that she agreed to his terms to make the race more of a challenge. Despite being beset by multiple attempts on Diesel's part to slow her down, Kana manages to go through all of Diesel's rules with little difficulty, and Diesel ends up crashing into the sheds while losing the race. He later proposes a strength contest later on, but slowly regrets it upon hearing Kana mention that she would be making the rules for that contest.
