Trivia[]

  • Going by production order, this is the twelfth episode of the twenty-third series.
  • This episode marks Owen's first speaking role since the eighteenth series episode, Long Lost Friend and the first time he is voiced by Rob Rackstraw. This is also his only speaking role in the twenty-third series.
  • This episode marks Stanley's only speaking role in the twenty-third series, albeit only in a fantasy sequence. On top of that, Rob Rackstraw voices him in the UK dub instead of Matt Wilkinson.
  • This marks the last of several things:
    • The last episode produced by Mattel Creations under their original name.
    • The last episode to have Andrew Brenner as head writer. David Stoten takes over in the next series and Steam Team to the Rescue.
    • Paxton, Stanley and Norman's last speaking roles.
    • Den and Duncan's last appearances, as well as Stanley's last appearance overall in a normal-length episode. Duncan was supposed to appear in the twenty-fourth series episode, The Great Little Railway Show, but he was dropped because he would have only had one line.
    • The last episode to air in the UK during Michael Angelis' lifetime, as he died from a heart attack on 30th May 2020, fifteen days later.
    • The last appearance of the Vicarstown Dieselworks.
    • Diesel's final episode with a leading role in the original series.
    • The last time where Thomas does not appear in the series finale.
    • The last episode aired in the US before the COVID-19 pandemic which caused businesses to shutdown in the early Spring of 2020.
  • This episode marks the second time Thomas does not appear in a series finale episode, the first was the sixth series episode, Faulty Whistles.
  • The paint that Diesel used in this episode is also seen in the twentieth series episode, Henry in the Dark.
  • On the Nick Jr. US airing of this episode, it was paired with Wish You Were Here.
  • In the Dutch dub, the Let's Dream song was played an instrumental version for the end song.

Goofs[]

  • Diesel, Nia and Paxton travel on narrow gauge track in the tunnel at the Blue Mountain Quarry despite all being standard gauge engines.
  • Stanley has his US voice in the UK dub. Despite that, Matt Wilkinson is still listed as his voice actor in the UK credits.
  • In the Latin American Spanish dub, Nia's line when she thanks Owen is left silent during television broadcasts. This mistake was fixed on Netflix.
