US and CAN

  • Joseph May as Thomas
  • Kerry Shale as Diesel
  • Yvonne Grundy as Nia
  • Steven Kynman as Paxton
  • Rob Rackstraw as Stanley and Owen
  • Keith Wickham as Den and Norman

  • Going by production order, this is the twelfth episode of the twenty-third series.
  • This episode marks Owen's first speaking role since the eighteenth series episode, Long Lost Friend and the first time he is voiced by Rob Rackstraw. This is also his only speaking role in the twenty-third series.
  • This episode marks Stanley's only speaking role in the twenty-third series, albeit only in a fantasy sequence. On top of that Rob Rackstraw voices him in the UK dub instead of Matt Wilkinson.
  • This marks the last of a few things:
  • This episode marks the first time Thomas was not seen in a series finale episode, since the sixth series episode, Faulty Whistles.
  • The paint that Diesel used in this episode is also seen in the twentieth series episode, Henry in the Dark.

  • Diesel, Nia and Paxton travel on narrow gauge track in the tunnel at the Blue Mountain Quarry despite being standard gauge engines.
  • Matt Wilkinson is credited for voicing Stanley in the UK dub, despite not voicing him in said dub.
