- ― Freddie
Ding-a-Ling! is a magazine story illustrated using photographs from the television series.
Plot
Freddie is given the special job of collecting a bike from James for the Thin Controller's family cycling holiday through the mountains. James is grumpy, as usual, and when the bike is loaded onto Freddie's flatbed, James states that the bicycle does not have a bell. As Freddie chuffs on, he thinks about what James said and decides that a bell must be important. As Freddie enters the Top Station, he spots Bobo the clown on the platform. He has bells hung around his neck. Freddie is delighted as the bells will make an excellent bell for Mr. Percival's bike!
