Disney Channel is a international cable and satellite television channel that is owned by the Disney Channels Worldwide unit of The Walt Disney Company's Disney–ABC Television Group. In Italy, Disney Channel aired Thomas & Friends from it's launch in 1998 until 2004, when the series was transferred to Playhouse Disney. The Italian dubs of the First to Fifth series premiered on this channel. In India, the Thomas & Friends special Big World! Big Adventures! was aired in 2020 for the UK, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu dubs. In South Korea, it aired the thirteenth to nineteenth series Korean dubs in 2016~2019.
It is sister channel Disney Junior is aimed at a younger audience.
