"This quest requires many knights taking turns!"
― Thomas

Dragon Run is a magazine story illustrated using images from the All Engines Go series.

Plot[]

The medieval fayre is on at Rolf's Castle and Thomas has been asked to pull the steam-breathing dragon that is going to be the star attraction. All the engines want to pull the dragon too and chase after Thomas. Thomas speeds away and crashes into a flatbed full of metal bins. The bins scatter all over the engines, making them look like they are knights in shining armour.

Even though he wants to pull the dragon by himself, Thomas decides to share it with his friends, declaring that his quest requires many knights to take turns. Together, they pull the dragon all across Sodor towards Rolf's Castle. It is dark by the time they get near. As they speed down the hill towards the castle, a boulder tumbles loose and crashes into the engines. The boulder sends the dragon flying towards the castle.

At the castle, Sir Topham Hatt is waiting for the engines to arrive with the dragon. Suddenly, a dark shape appears in the sky, as the dragon flies in and lands in the perfect spot! Sir Topham Hatt is very pleased and tells the engines that they should deliver the dragon like this every year.
