Plot
While Percy is being repaired, Thomas performs the job of pulling the post train. He refuses to ask Percy for help with his new job, and as a result he causes confusion and delay by whistling loudly and waking up the sleeping engines. The next day, Thomas notices Mavis making mistakes at the quarry. The Fat Controller tells Thomas that by whistling he has woken up all the engines and they are too tired to work. That night, Thomas asks Percy for advice and he tells Thomas that he must do his rounds silently. So, Thomas does his run as quiet as a mouse and then falls asleep himself.
