Trivia
- All of the stories in this book are based on television episodes, and were released on Thomas, Percy and the Dragon and Other Stories.
- Images from Thomas and the Missing Christmas Tree are used including one from the cancelled episode, Hullo Twins. In the Thomas' Big Storybook edition, images from Duck Takes Charge, Daisy, Salty's Secret and Twin Trouble are used.
- Thomas appears on one the pages from The Deputation, despite him not appearing in the episode.
- There is a difference between the two English narrations of "The Diseasel" where Bill "pretended to be frightened" instead of "not to".
- This was one of two books that were not released with an audio cassette, the other being James in a Mess and Other Thomas the Tank Engine Stories.
- This is the last television series based book to have four stories, as well as the last book to feature stories that were done during Ringo Starr and George Carlin's time, no stories between the third and fourth series were ever made for this book series until the release of The Cranky Day.
Goofs
- In the picture on the first page, Douglas' face mask is hanging loose.
- At the end of "Edward's Exploit", Gordon and James are visibly angry.
- In later editions of "The Diseasel", a picture of BoCo has his front edited onto Daisy's body.
- The letter "C" in BoCo's name is un-capitalised throughout the book.
