"This engine had no name..."
This article's title contains conjecture and does not reflect any official material, as no official name for it is currently known to exist.

The Elevated Town Runby is an area where the Main Line runs alongside a retaining wall with a town above. A bridge crosses over the railway nearby.

It was here that the Jet Engine ran out of fuel after propelling Thomas around the Island.[1] Once, while taking trucks from the Coaling Plant to Brendam Docks, Henry once broke down here and had to be rescued by Emily.[2] On another occasion, Henry helped 'Arry and Bert when they ran out of fuel here.[3]

Trivia[]

  • The placement of where this runby is on Sodor is inconsistent:
    • In the sixth series, the runby appears to be between Tidmouth South Tunnel and Knapford, as it is shown between the tunnel and the station when the Jet Engine runs out of fuel.
    • In the seventh series, it appears to be east of Wellsworth, before Suddery Junction, as Henry breaks down here after passing through Wellsworth enroute to Brendam Docks.
  • The runby has had modifications throughout the CGI era. These include:
    • Series 15:
      • A road was added beside the railway line.
      • A siding and goods shed were added at one end of the retaining wall.
    • Series 16:
  • In the episode Henry's Happy Coal, the road running alongside the railway line is a lighter shade of grey than it is in other episodes.
