- "Guys, guys! Look who I met! It's Farona and Frederico. They're the best!"
"We are. We win every race we're in."
"And we look so good while doing it." - ― Diesel meeting Farona and Frederico
Farona and Frederico are a pair of yellow and black electric engines from Spain. The pair visited the Island of Sodor to compete for the seventy-seventh Sodor Cup.
Personalities[]
Both Farona and Frederico are arrogant and snobbish in addition to lacking humility, not above boasting to Kenji and demeaning Thomas and Kana, as well as winding up the latter. However, both of them are very unsporting, and even resorted to cheating to try and win. This ultimately turned Diesel, who at the start of the race was one of their biggest fans, against them.
Technical Details[]
Basis[]
Farona and Frederico have no particular basis and are freelance designs. Their wheel arrangement - 4-10-0 - was only ever used by steam locomotives and there have been no examples of electric locomotives using this configuration.
Livery[]
Farona is painted yellow with black and orange stripes and black windows. Frederico has the same colour patterns, but with the exception of his wheels has much of the yellow and black colour placements inverted.
