A Special Story About Duke is a short rhyming magazine story.
Plot
Many years ago, Duke pulled the 'Picnic Train' and dropped the locals wherever they liked. One sunny afternoon, Duke passes a waterfall where everyone gets off the train to cool off in its pool. Duke decides that, since there is no-one left in his carriages, he will spend the day at the waterfall, too. His driver is happy as he too puts on his swimming gear.
Characters
Duke's driver and a group of passengers are also featured.
Goofs
- In the final illustration, Duke does not appear to be on the rails.
- Duke is pulling standard gauge coaches but scaled down.
