A kőbányában igen sok a munka, elkel némi segítség. A kövér ellenőr Thomast küldi ki, ám Diesel is jelen van, aki folyamatosn ugratja a kis kék mozdonyt. Thomast annyira bántja a dolog, hogy még aludni sem tud. Másnap reggel Diesel és Mavis tankolna, ám víz került a gázolajba, s hamarosan mindketten lerobbanva találják magukat a vágányokon - ahogy a sziget összes dízelje! Thomason a világ szeme: rá hárul a feladat, hogy az összes veszteglő mozdonyt ellássa tiszta olajjal. A kőbányában érve hamar elillan a haragja, amikor Diesel és Mavis hálálkodásban tőrnek ki, s még a kővér ellenőr is megerősíti, hogy nincs hasznosabb mozdony, mint Thomas!
English Translation
The quarry is very busy, and some help is needed. The Fat Controller sends Thomas out, but Diesel is there too, constantly teasing the little blue locomotive. Thomas is so upset that he can't even sleep. The next morning, Diesel and Mavis go to refuel, but water got into the diesel fuel and soon they both find themselves broken down on the tracks - along with all the Island's diesels! Everyone's eyes turn to Thomas: he is tasked with the job of supplying all the stranded diesel locomotives with clean oil. Once at the quarry, his anger quickly dissipates when Diesel and Mavis burst out in thanksgiving, and even the Fat Controller confirms that there is no locomotive more useful than Thomas!
