Trivia

The map includes all important locations from the eighth through twelfth series, among others.
A picture-read story based off the seventh series episode, Three Cheers for Thomas was featured in the passport, titled Thomas and the Race.
The events of the eighth series episode Emily's New Route, seventh series episode Bad Day at Castle Loch, tenth series episode Thomas and the Jet Plane, and first series episode The Sad Story of Henry are referenced in the book.
Several location placements are established for the New Series; they differ from previous and future maps alot:
- The Fishing Village is said to be in Suddery.
- Wellsworth Vicarage Orchard is placed on The Main Line between Crosby and Wellsworth.
- The Lighthouse and the Beach are on the Main Line, between Crosby and Knapford.
- McColl Farm is placed near the end of Thomas' Branch Line.
- The Wharf is described as being at the top of Duck's Branch, at Arlesburgh, but it is marked near Norramby on the map.
- The Quarry is a Granite Quarry north of Maithwaite, which has taken the place of Marthwaite from the Railway Series map.
- Toby's Branch is depicted as the Mid-Sodor Railway from the Railway Series map, with stations Cas-ny-Hawin and Ballamoddey being marked.
- Duck's Branch and the Peel Godred Branch link up via Toby's Branch Line.
- Misty Valley (S11) is located north of Killdane on the Peel Godred Branch.
- The Central Bridge is located on the Peel Godred Branch, south of Kirk Machan.
- The Scottish Castle, Black Loch and Misty Valley (S6) are located north of Peel Godred.
- The Tower Windmill is on The Main Line, between Killdane and Kellsthorpe near Kellaby.
- The Ruined Castle is also on The Main Line, west of Kellsthorpe.

Goofs

Duck and Oliver are left out of the character profile in the passport.
At one point, it is incorrectly stated that James is still the only red engine on Sodor.
The Wharf is described to be in Arlesburgh, but the map included marks it near Norramby.
Kellsthorpe is incorrectly spelled as Kelsthorpe.
There are no tracks leading to Great Waterton.
Shen Ven is misspelled as Shen Yen.
