Background Information[]

Television Series[]

Glynn is a fictional standard gauge "Coffee Pot" locomotive created by Sam Wilkinson, Ian McCue and Andrew Brenner.

In 2015, Glynn made his debut in the special The Adventure Begins and he was absent in 2018.

Glynn was voiced by Keith Wickham (UK/US) in the CGI version of the series on both sides of the Atlantic, respectively. Wickham gave the character a Welsh British accent to match his country of origin, the exact same voice he uses to voice Skarloey.

Glynn is based on the Head Wrightson & Co Ltd. Type 1 "Coffee Pot No. 1".

Behind the Scenes[]

CGI Model[]

In 2014, Glynn was created from scratch in CGI by Arc Productions for The Adventure Begins in 2015. The model was "hand-sculpted" in Maya, a 3D animation and modelling software.

Glynn has some modifications compared to his basis:

  • His water tank is taller than to accommodate his face.
  • He has the same whistle design as Charlie.
