“Now I remember what to do...send old Toby for a service, so he'll be as good as new!”
―The Fat Controller

Good as New is a rhyming magazine story.

One day, the Fat Controller has completely forgotten something that he must do. As he walks down the station platform, a cheerful little boy runs up to him. The boy shows the Fat Controller a model of Toby that his mother has just purchased for him. The Fat Controller chuckles as he remembers just what he has to do - send Toby to the works for a service.
