Trivia

  • Going by production order, this is the forty-seventh episode of the first series.
  • This is the second episode where the cast consists only of the members of the Biggest Adventure Club. The first being Lost and Found.
  • When going in to save the engines, Percy covers his funnel and used a snorkel to go under the mud. This could mean that the engines use their funnels as a way of breathing.
  • Kana is the only Biggest Adventure Club member not to appear in this episode.
  • The audio of Carly and Sandy saying "Have no fear! Sandy and Carly can make your problems disappear!" is reused from the first series episode, Thomas Blasts Off.
  • In the UK and Australia, this episode was broadcasted before Ghost Train. As a result, the audience would likely not be familiar with Percy's Ghost-Scaring Machine.

Goofs

  • When Thomas and Percy enter The Maintenance Yard, They pass the shed in the yard, but in the next scene, They're at the shed.
  • In one scene when Thomas, Percy and Diesel take the shortcut to Lookout Mountain, Thomas' bunker is misaligned with his cab.
  • As Percy pulls the engines out of the ditch, he and his Ghost-Scaring machine remain mud-free until later in the episode, and even then it's limited to below the running board rather than all over his bodywork.
