"Gordon's Hill" is the nickname of the huge steep-graded hill on the Main Line, between Wellsworth and Maron. It got its name after Gordon got stuck there while pulling a goods train.
History[]
Bankers are often required to help trains up the hill. Edward usually performs this duty, though occasionally other engines such as Toby and Duck have done the job.
At the bottom of the hill on the western side is West Maron Junction, which leads to Ulfstead Castle. The foot of the hill is also the site of many crashes, and engines must be careful here as the Troublesome Trucks will often try and push them down it or break away.

Trivia[]
- Gordon's Hill is one of only two locations to appear in every series of Thomas & Friends, the other being Tidmouth Sheds.
- Unlike The Railway Series, Gordon has gotten stuck on the hill at least seven times in Thomas & Friends. Once in "Edward and Gordon", another time in "Edward the Very Useful Engine", twice in the "You Can Do it, Toby!", once in Calling All Engines! and twice in "Old Reliable Edward".
- Although Gordon also got stuck in The Adventure Begins, the special recreates the same events as "Edward and Gordon".
- Gordon's Hill is one of the only locations named after a character, as well as Henry's Tunnel and Neville’s Bridge.
