Main Page

Henry is a green tender engine who lives and also works on the Island of Sodor.

Technical Details

Basis

Henry in All Engines Go is a mix of Gordon's rig combined with elements of his original appearance.

In his first appearance, Henry is simply recoloured from Gordon, leading the two to share the same loose appearance of an LNER Gresley A1, albeit with a 2-6-2 wheel arrangement closer to that of a V2. Bizarrely - though almost certainly unintentionally - this mimics Henry's old shape in the original series, which has a similar appearance to Gordon.

Since his first appearance, Henry has been incrementally modified to more closely resemble his more common post-rebuild appearance, which is based upon an LMS Stanier Black Five, though still retains many features of Gordon's base model, such as the running board shape and 2-6-2 wheel arrangement.

Livery

Henry is painted green with red lining on his cab, splashers, tender, cylinders and boiler and yellow lining around his windows. His number (3) is painted on his tender in yellow with a red outline. His bufferbeams and valences are red. His running board is white at the front, however becomes red once it reaches the top. His dome is also yellow.
