Trivia
- The filedates of the DVD show that it was finished on November 23, 2004.
- This release marked many things:
- The first classic series release in the United States not to feature a title card for the music video.
- The last release to use the first series character nameboard sequence, the second series character nameboard sequence, and the original 14 characters nameboard sequence (as seen on Thomas and His Friends Help Out and Thomas Meets the Queen and Other Stories) between each episode.
- The first DVD to use the menu with an engine at the station, not counting the "Best of" DVD's.
- The only release to feature the nameboard intermissions, but not feature a title card for the music video.
- The first DVD with menus narrated by Michael Brandon, as well as the only Anchor Bay release to have this (not counting the Character Gallery in the James Learns a Lesson DVD, as that is recycled audio).
- The last US Anchor Bay Entertainment DVD release along to feature the classic theme tune in the menus. Starting with Percy Saves the Day and Other Adventures, which would be released months later, the menus would feature Engine Roll Call as the background music.
- The second DVD not to have any trailers at the beginning, the first was Salty's Secret and Other Thomas Adventures.
- The only US VHS/DVD release of the episodes featured.
- The second release to have all episodes exclusive to the release, following Races, Rescues and Runaways and Other Thomas Adventures.
- Some Anchor Bay copies contain the Lionsgate disc.
- The DVD menu uses the original theme tune, as well as in the nameboards sequence in between the stories, making this release feature both the original theme tune and Engine Roll Call.
- On the VHS cover, Gordon is removed, and Thomas is moved a few inches back to make more room.
- The DVD menu appears after the program is finished, instead of following the opening logos.
Goofs
- The credits only acknowledge the titular episode's writer and original music, leaving out Robyn Charteris, James Mason and Polly Churchill for writing the other episodes, Robert Hartshorne for all the episodes' new scores and Ed Welch for title theme tune.
- In the Character Gallery for Duck, the Great Western Railway is incorrectly called the 'Great Western Railroad.'
- On the Netflix cover, the title is incorrectly listed as Thomas and the Jet Engine and Other Adventures.
- On the Amazon Prime Video promo cover, Thomas is tilted.
- In the booklet, the section advertising The Early Years states that it includes songs, but no songs were included on that release.
- At the beginning of Rheneas and the Roller Coaster, the narrator's line "Rheneas is a brave little engine" is misinterpreted in the captions as "Rheneas is a buoyant little engine".
