- The game features pre-rendered CGI cutscenes.
- This is the final Japanese video game in general where all the characters are voiced by the original Japanese voice cast. From Let's Play with Thomas and Learn Language and Words with ABC and then on, six years later, all the characters are voiced by the new Japanese voice cast.
- There are references to various episodes such like Gordon and Spencer, Rusty and the Boulder and Buzz, Buzz
Goofs
- The diesels make chugging noises despite them being diesel engines.
- Duck's running board is red instead of black and his cylinders are green when they should be black as well.
- Freddie has four wheels instead of ten.
- Peter Sam has his old funnel.
- Diesel 10 has mustard wheels and some patches on his face.
- 'Arry and Bert have green footplates instead of black.
- Daisy has black buffers and a Co-Bo wheel arrangement.
- Class 40, Stepney and Emily also have black buffers.
- BoCo has circle buffers instead of oval.
- Arthur has Edward's face.
- All of the engine models have no front couplings.
- Rusty is seen puffing steam despite him being a diesel.
