James has eight of his own trucks.

Biography

James received eight new blue trucks from the Fat Controller after his previous trucks started getting old and unreliable. James wanted and forced his new trucks to stay clean, but after seeing that Thomas' trucks were dirty and did not like to stay clean, James' trucks decided to cause mischief by holding James back when he tried to pull them away, and a crate of melon fruit dropped all over James.

Basis

The trucks are based on BR 7 plank end-door open wagons.

Livery

The trucks are painted blue with black frames and have standard grey faces.

Trivia

The trucks were recycled as flour trucks with their faces removed in the tenth series episode, Follow that Flour. They were later recycled as funfair trucks in the twelfth series episode, Rosie's Funfair Special.
