Julia Pistor (born on 25th June 1965) is a leader and storyteller with over twenty years of experience in family entertainment. Her background spans Films, TV, Digital, and Branded Content, and she is known as an intuitive leader who creates an inclusive community among the teams she is a part of while encouraging diversity of people, personalities and ideas. Through her unique approach to storytelling, Julia strives to celebrate the beautiful, eclectic world we live in to foster empathy and connect people to each other. Combining her management ability with the creative skill to shape teams, nurture material, build global franchises while managing complex partnerships and business deals, Julia strives to create harmony from chaos through story.

She was the producer at HIT Entertainment who developed the Thomas the Tank Engine live action film in 2011 that ultimately was never made due to production being pushed aside, the film was cancelled sometime in 2012 once HiT Entertainment was purchased by Mattel.

In 2015, Julia developed and created the voice of the Barbie Vlog. She currently writes for the series and is a producer for Netflix Animation and is working on a forthcoming animated feature.

Julia was the head of Theatrical and Special Projects from January 2012 to October 2014 at Mattel Productions and served as an executive producer from 2014 - 2017. Previously, Julia spent 12 years with Nickelodeon, building and running Nickelodeon Movies, the award-winning Nick branded family feature film business within Viacom and Paramount. Julia produced or executive produced over 15 animated and live action movies including, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, Nacho Libre, Oscar nominated Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Lemony Snicket’s Series of Unfortunate Events, Charlotte’s Web, and The Rugrats movies.
