- "There's one on your head!"
- ― Nia and Kana
Kana and the Butterflies is the fourth short of the Short Story Adventures series.
Plot[]
Kana and Nia race through a meadow as they look at butterflies. Nia in particular is looking for a Sodor Skipper; a large purple butterfly. Hearing Nia mention its colour, Kana is eager to spot one for herself, but when the engines finally find one, she comes in too fast and scares it off. After finding another, Nia tries to get close, only for her clanking to scare it away. The engines then manage to sneak behind two Sodor Skippers, but end up frightening them away after crashing into each other and falling into the flowers. Originally despondent, the engines cheer up when the butterflies return and sit atop their new flowery getup.
