Karen Barnes was the Executive Vice President of Production at HiT Entertainment and the executive in charge of production for Thomas and Friends at HiT Entertainment from the sixteenth series to seventeenth series, replacing Lenora Hume in 2010. She also served as executive producer of Blue Mountain Mystery alongside Marion Edwards.
She left her role at HiT Entertainment in October 2012 and was replaced by Michael Carrington around February 2013.
