Kellsthorpe Road is a station on the Island of Sodor around 2.5 miles south from the town of Kellsthorpe. It is located on the Main Line and serves as the junction station for the Kirk Ronan Branch Line. The Difficult Bend is located nearby.
History[]
When Kellsthorpe Road was being constructed, Thomas had the job of taking workmen to and from the construction site with Annie and Clarabel. When the station was near completion, some trucks which broke away from Edward put the station in jeopardy. Fortunately, Thomas was able to alert the signalman, who diverted the trucks onto a siding, preventing any damage to the station. The following day, Thomas took the first train to Kellsthorpe Road for its grand opening.[1]
The station has five platforms, connected by a long footbridge and two buildings, with the northern platform having the main building and the central platforms having a smaller building, which includes an ice cream shop. It also has a signal box and a small yard. Gordon stops here with the Express.

- The architecture for Kellsthorpe Road is based on Taplow, a station on the Great Western main line between Paddington and Reading.
- Kellsthorpe Road was built by Nitrogen Studios, but went unused.
- Despite being said to be a new station in the eighth series, Kellsthorpe Road appears fully constructed in The Adventure Begins, before Thomas arrives on Sodor. This is a retcon.
- Kellsthorpe Road in Columbus, Ohio, USA is named after this town.
