Knapford Harbour is a large port located behind Knapford Station on the Main Line.
History[]
The harbour is located close to the yards behind Knapford Station. Between the first and seventh series, Henry used to pick up the Flying Kipper from here, until the service was moved to begin at Brendam Docks.
The Mail Train, which is usually pulled by Thomas and Percy, gets its post from The Mainland delivered to this harbour. Henry takes the mail to Percy who delivers it across the Island.[1]
Stone from Ffarquhar Quarry is also delivered and exported from here. Bulstrode used to work here, but after an incident with Percy, he was moved to Tidmouth Beach.[2]
Sometime before the eighth series, the harbour was eclipsed by Brendam Docks as the Island's main port, and it is now used only for minor goods exports and imports.[3]
