Lion Cub Films was a Canadian subdivision of Lionsgate. In 2009 and 2010, they released Thomas & Friends DVDs in Canada on behalf of Lionsgate. Their final Thomas & Friends release was Misty Island Rescue in September 2010, after which further DVD distribution in Canada was continued by Maple Pictures, another Lionsgate subdivision, which re-released many of Lion Cub Films' Thomas & Friends titles.
