London (also known as the Big City) is the capital city of the Mainland.
History[]
Prior to coming to the North Western Railway, Duck worked at Paddington in London.
After receiving a letter from a little girl, eight of the engines (Thomas, Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby and Duck) along with Annie and Clarabel went to London and were lined up in a big airy shed, so the children could meet them.
Sir Topham Hatt was once invited to Buckingham Palace by the Queen, to receive a special award for his services to the railway. Sir Topham Hatt went there with Thomas and after encountering some mishaps along the way, they arrived at Victoria, where the Queen decided to have the ceremony there instead.
