Luke Marty is a British-Canadian actor, singer and writer who provided the voice of James in the US dub of Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go. He also originally voiced James in the UK dub as well, until Nia's Perfect Plan.

- While Marty had watched the original Thomas & Friends television series a lot as a child, he decided not to go back and listen to the other actors of James, so as to not be too heavily influenced.[1]
- During his audition for Whiff, he gave a couple different takes of the voice, including a British accent.[2]
- His favourite characters are Thomas, who admired him for trying his best, Percy, for his favourite colour is green and James for some reason. And his favourite episode from the original Thomas and Friends is The Flying Kipper, for its great music and his favourite episode and special in Thomas and Friends: All Engines Go are Dragon Run, for it is really funny and The Christmas Letter Express, because he got to sing.[3]
