Basis

These trucks are based on the narrow gauge Lynton and Barnstaple Railway (L&BR) 1897 four-wheeled open wagon, scaled up to standard gauge.

Trivia

  • One truck was used in a few episodes of TUGS, most notably when being pulled by the steam engine character Puffa.
    • In TUGS, they had the wheels and axleboxes of 7-Plank Trucks for added height.
  • Some of the truck models had their brake pipes removed to accommodate a face, but this never ended up happening onscreen.
  • In an illustration by Owen Bell, the trucks are inaccurately depicted with bogie wheels.[1]
